The first official day of spring is on March 20th and it’s fast approaching! For many people, spring means beautiful blooms, short sleeves, sunshine, and longer days. After enduring the rainy winter, the thing I most look forward to in the springtime is enjoying al fresco dining at the area’s many restaurants with dog friendly patios. Many people think of their dogs as part of the family, so naturally they want to go to places where the fur babies receive just as warm of a welcome as the humans do. Not sure which restaurants allow dogs on their patios? Well, you’re in luck. Here’s a list of some of the delicious restaurants that have dog friendly patios in the greater Sacramento area. So, when you go out for a yummy meal, Fido can tag along too!
Federalist Public House & Beer Garden
The Federalist Public House and Beer Garden is a great place to bring your furry buddies to just chill and enjoy some great food and drinks. The atmosphere is super laid back and it feels like you’re just hanging out in a friend’s back yard. Your pup won’t be the only one drooling from the enchanting aroma of wood fired pizza! Truly a fantastic place to relax and kick back with your four-legged friends. Also, check out the “Freedom Menu” for many vegan options.

Karen’s Bakery and Café
Enjoy this local favorite in Folsom with your furry pal. They offer scrumptious breakfast and lunch options with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. And, don’t miss the bakery cases with freshly made pastries and sweet treats! The patio area offers tons of seating and beautiful landscaping. It is also nicely shaded for those warmer days and they offer water bowls for the dogs.

The Monk’s Cellar
What a great spot in downtown Roseville to enjoy a happy (or yappy) hour with your dogs! The patio is completely covered and there are heaters available for those cool spring nights. The servers also provide water bowls for your dogs. Fantastic beer, delicious food (try the duck fat fries, you can thank me later), warm atmosphere and dog friendly! Can you ask for anything more?

La provence allows pups on the patio area. Nice because it opens to the walking area and soccer fields behind the restaurant. Had a great sat brunch there.
