When coming up with a nutrition plan it is important to incorporate things you like that way you don’t feel like you are on “a diet”, in turn… you are less likely to cheat.
Good nutrition is important when eating a balanced diet, there are so many different approaches; carb free, fat free, no red meat, no diary the list goes on and on. It is important to have a good source of protein, carbs and fats in your diet. It is all about learning to eat the right carbs and fat that will fuel your body and boost your metabolism.
You want to have a carb in your breakfast to get your metabolism up and running. It is best to eat every 3-4 hours so your metabolism is always working throughout the day. You are also less likely to over eat if you are eating more frequently.
Here is a good reference to what types of foods to incorporate in your nutrition plan.
Prepping food is the KEY to success! When you have meals already prepped you are more likely to eat healthy then if you have to come home and cook after a long day of work. Typically it is good to prep meals about 3 days in advance in order for the food to stay fresh. It is also much easier and time friendly to grab and go instead having to take the time to make each individual meal.
